The Mission
Nature Governance adheres to a holistic ecocentric worldview and is committed to an ecozoic philosophy, framework, and practice within human systems.
As a philosophy, Nature Governance brings Nature consciousness into human systems of governance, as a strategy for eco-logical choices, eco-conscious decision-making, and an eco-responsible culture of human stewardship and accountability for the benefit of planetary health and the common good.
ESG targets, sustainability, net zero objectives etc. are quantitative action points that tell us what we need to stop - and what we need to start - doing. Yet, do we do what needs to be done? No. At least, not in a systemic, meaningful and impactful enough manner.
The āGā in ESG (ie., Governance) is often forgotten or overlooked, which is why corporate decision-making remains di-vested from eco-consciousness and ecocentric choices. The power of the private sector/corporate sphere to make meaningful change lies in corporate action, not in words. Nature Governance is the key and will enable corporations to shift away from the current paradigm of scarcity, destruction, and profit at all costs, towards a corporate structure that operates in harmony with Nature. In practice, Nature Governance is about empowering decision-makers to make the right decisions for, with and as Nature.
Our Theory of Change:
Nature Governance offers a qualitative consciousness-altering systemic change - a deep cultural transformation - that enables human beings within corporate and organizational systems to boldly, unapologetically, and wisely make the right choices for planetary wealth, i.e. wellbeing and health. Nature Governance aims to harmonize human behavior to create, design, support, and feed the systems that impact the natural world as a whole.
